Material Handler

We have an immediate requirement for a Material Handler to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be working in a fast paced environment and as a team member with the knitting and Finishing department.

As a material handler, the main duties and responsibilities for the role will include, but will not be limited to:

• Ensuring materials are available on time for production in the most effective way

• Ensuring orders for materials are sufficient for order demand

• Ensuring allocation of yarn matches order requirements

• Updating inventory systems, maintain stock accuracy, ensure tidy storage of yarns and removal of empty pallets

• Liaising with Office Administrator to ensure logistics are informed of collections/deliveries

Other duties will include:

• Ensuring wash care instructions are adhered to

• Health and safety - highlight possible areas of risk, operate within company guidelines

​

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing

• Experience working in the textiles industry is preferable, but not essential

• The ability to manage and update inventory accurately

• Computer skills- Email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a challenging and fast moving environment as part of friendly and dynamic team.

• A positive attitude to problem solving

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

We are offering a competitive starting salary, that will be reviewed regularly. Our factory is easily accessible by public transport, and is located a short walk from Burgess Hill rail station. Private car parking is also available.
