Yarn Types

Here is a comprehensive guide to the various yarn types we offer and their unique qualities.

Organic Cotton

Cotton Branch

We can offer Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton, ensuring a source of organic cotton that’s environmentally sustainable. Our Organic Cotton is sourced from Italy and is the perfect solution for luxury but sustainable sport socks or dress socks.

Recycled Cotton

Cotton Threads

Our recycled cotton yarn is made with Global Recycled Standard (GRS) recycled cotton and plastic bottles. This yarn uses up to 46.9% less energy consumption, up to 46.6% less CO2 emissions and up to 61.6% less water consumption than similar yarns. Recycled cotton yarn can be used for sport socks and novelty socks.

Supima Cotton

Colorful yarn

Our Supima Cotton is indulgently soft to touch, has natural resiliency and rich deep colour. It is ethically sourced and grown only in the USA, on roughly 500 family-owned farms. Supima cotton yarn has extra-long fibre so it is softer and more durable than other type of cottons. Therefore, Supima cotton socks are last longer, stay softer and maintain their colour throughout their life. This cotton is perfect for everyday socks, novelty socks and cozy socks.

Nylon

Nylon yarn is lightweight and breathable so it is suitable to be used for athletic socks. Nylon socks help to keep the feet cool and comfortable and have great moisture absorption properties. They are also quick-drying, which can prevent things like blisters. This makes nylon yarn an excellent choice for more technical socks such as running socks or walking socks.

Combed Cotton

Red And Black Socks

Combed cotton undergoes a special processing technique that creates a fabric with a soft, smooth, and durable finish which never disappoints. This quality remains intact even after numerous washes and not easy to pilling. In contrast, regular cotton, which receives less processing, may feel slightly rougher and less smooth. This yarn is sourced from Thailand and can be used to make sport socks and novelty socks as the distinct qualities of combed cotton make it an excellent choice for those who prioritize durability and strength in their sourcing process.

Cashmere

Cashmere cotton blends offer the ideal combination of luxury and practicality, making them an excellent choice for socks. The softness and warmth of cashmere combined with the durability and breathability of cotton create a sock fabric that is both cosy and long-lasting. This yarn is most suitable for dress socks.

Egyptian Mercerised Cotton

The long fibers of our Mercerised Egyptian cotton, which is sourced from Brescia, Italy, create a dense, yet breathable fabric, ensuring your feet stay cool and dry, even during extended wear. This fine yarn is shinny and breathable which is ideal for luxury men's dress socks and office attire.

Wool

Knitting

Merino wool is derived from a specific breed of sheep known as the Merino. While it shares many characteristics with regular sheep's wool, the individual fibers of Merino wool are much finer and softer than those of most other types of wool. There are many benefits to manufacturing your socks with our Wool blends. They are soft, lightweight, sustainable, odor proof and, because of their natural fibers, they act as a great temperature regulator.
